- FastFileSystem handles maximum 2GB (partition size). AmigaDOS will mount
- maximum 4GB (device). A 4GB drive needs 2 x 2GB partitions.
-
- MacroSystem GmbH just upgraded MovieShop's file system to allow recording
- an entire 4GB drive (about 45 minutes of video), where it was previously
- limited to 2GB.
-
- The Mac's Media 100 will allow the recording of a 9GB drive (and will also
- allow multiple partitions per project), even though the Mac has exactly
- the same filesystem and device driver contraints.
-
- As the original poster stated, AFS will allow more than 2GB partitions (I
- do not know the limit, or whether it also increases the max device size).
-
- There is also a small SW utility on Aminet (giga171.lha ?) that allows
- the use of 9GB drives.
